We met up with Tali and Shira and families at Marina Park a couple of weeks ago. Despite Jordan stepping in dog poop, which ended up on his pants we had a beautiful day. Luckily a pair of Ari’s pants fit (at least his waist).

I caught this video on a recent outing to the Grove. They put speakers in the flower pots so it sounds like there’s music coming out of the flowers. Jordan loved it! But also kept saying it was “too loud!”

We also got to celebrate cousin Zakai’s first birthday at Avi and Jan’s. Eytan and Reva got him a Pinata.

And last weekend we had another great night at the Cashmans. Jordan and Sylvie play so nicely together. They have a cute little crush on each other

But as you can see, sometimes his car/truck obsession gets in the way of having a good time and talking to people.

So we tried a little experiment and removed all cars and trucks from our house after he went to sleep one night. The next morning when he asked for them we told him there were no cars or trucks today but there would be other fun stuff to do. SO far after 4 days he’s been a model child. He’s been so sweet and left his car tantrums behind. I’m sure the cars/trucks will come back out, but for now we are enjoying other fun things like our new backyard wading pool

Tomorrow I’m taking the day off to take Jordan to DISNEYLAND for the first time. Hopefully some fun, smiling photos with Mickey in my next post.

Jordan’s love for singing is constant and growing. On some of his more familiar songs, he hits most of the notes and says most of the words clearly. And then sometimes, even though can sing the songs well, he sings them in a rhythmic staccato style.

The other day he woke us up at 5:30 am and sang this song list as a medley for over an hour at the top of his lungs.

Sometimes he sings in his sleep i think.

When we play music, Jordan DEMANDS certain songs, and complains when songs end if we don’t put them on repeat. He yells “hear it” if the song ends or isn’t loud enough.

Jordan is 22 months old!
We are planning his 2nd birthday party already and he looks more like a little boy every day. Time definitely flies.

Last weekend Maya turned 10 and she had her party at a bowling alley (one of my favorite places to have birthdays when I was a kid). What a great way to celebrate. Jordan wasn’t quite old enough to get into a game, but he loved exploring there.

Jonah was so sweet to Jordan, holding his hand and showing him so much love and affection:

Jordan had a fun visit from Tamar’s friend Ilana, who brought her two girls along for a visit. Jordan was particularly taken with Isabella, the older daughter.

The older woman thing seems to be a trend. We have a really nice family across the street from us, and Jordan has a little crush on the older daughter Sophia. Every night when she comes outside to ride her bike, he runs over to the window to say hello. Actually he yells out her name. It is so sweet, and she seems to love him too.

All of Los Angeles opened up its fire stations for open houses. What a perfect place to bring Jordan, who remains obsessed with firetrucks. We met one of his school friends, Jorge, at the fire station around the corner from our house, along with his parents.

Jordan had such a great time with Grandma and Grandpa during their recent visit. Smiles and dancing the whole time.

And a nice surprise visit from Uncle Raphe, Aunt Eden and cousin Tillie. Tillie played so nicely with Jordan!

We had such a fun time with Poppy when he came to visit. Jordan is so lucky to be surrounded by so much love all the time.

Then we went to get Jordan new shoes (only his third pair!), and sandals:

He was a little scared at first, because he thought he was getting a haircut.

Poppy also joined us for Liam’s 4th birthday party at My Gym:

And then we played at home. Jordan had a blast!

And played with his new basketball hoop, yelling “Get the Rebound!”

We also fit in a trip to Yamato, our local Teppen-Yaki place in honor of Greg’s birthday. He always loves it there

And he even snuggled up with Poppy to watch videos on Poppy’s phone before bed:

Jordan finally enjoyed a day playing at My Gym. Before yesterday, he hadn’t been having so much fun there. But as you can see, he had a great time playing on the trampoline.

We had Tali and everyone over for brunch on Sunday to celebrate her 40th! Happy birthday Tali!

Other than that, just having fun, hanging out and playing before we host Poppy this weekend and Grandma and Grandpa next week!

Still OBSESSED with cars:

We went with Tali, Jonah and Hayley to get Jordan’s haircut for the second time. Since the 1st time didn’t go well, we were a little worried… But Jordan got to watch Jonah go first, and although he definitely didn’t like it, he didn’t shed one tear!

The night before his hair cut, we told Jordan that he would be getting his haircut the next day with Hayley and Jonah, and it turned into a 30 minute tantrum because he didn’t want to wait to see them until morning…

We had perfect weather last weekend at Uncle Terry’s beach house. Jordan has been talking about Uncle Terry and Oxnard ever since…
