Da-Da and Ma-Ma

Jordan’s language skills have been exploding lately.

His favorite words:
Wheel (pronounced we-yal) – he says this over and over again when he rolls or spins anything round

Airplane (pronounced up-a) – nobody else would know this is what he is saying, but he always says it combined with pointing and looking up in the sky when he hears an airplane or helicopter.

Moon (moo) – he LOVES looking for, and seeing the moon.

Peaches (P-chs) – said with no vowels. Probably his favorite fruit.

Cheese (Chs) – said with no vowels.

Fan (Ffff) – also no vowels. Still his favorite word

Mama and Dada – said many times in the last week, and directed right at us (YAY!)

I caught him on video yesterday saying Dada while he gobbled down cheese as if it was going to be his last food.

And here I captured him making a lot of the strange faces and noises he has been making lately, which constantly crack me up.

He’s saying “wheel, wheel wheel” as he tries to roll his sippy cup…

First boat ride and other fun stuff

We took Jordan in a quick boat taxi at the Marina last week. He was soaking it in:

At home, he continued his favorite activities, rolling water bottles, watching the washing machine go around, and bopping to the music. He literally rolls bottles of water and orange juice around our house for HOURS at a time.

The valley was over 100 for 3 weeks in a row, so we brought him to the beach to stay cool:

We are having so much fun just watching him have fun:

And, as always, he loves to be with his cousins:

New videos of Jordan

I’m experimenting a little using youtube for videos.
If you can’t see them let me know.
Here are a few recent ones I thought were worth sharing

From the Long Beach Aquarium last weekend:

This is Jordan with Safta. He was trying to move her out of the way and she told him she wasn’t going to move. He thought that was funny!

Here is that fun continued with Tammy:

And this is from his birthday party a few weeks ago:

Long Beach Aquarium

We brought Jordan to the Long Beach Aquarium over the weekend. He definitely loved every part of it, except each time we left one tank to move to the next one he got upset thinking that we were leaving altogether.

The night before he had dinner out on the town with 2 of his friends, Jaxon and Liam.

Sylvie’s Birthday Party

The Cashmans’ photographer captured some great shots at Sylvie’s 1st birthday party, which was the weekend after Jordan’s:
