Jordan Wax weighing in at 20 pounds

We had a successful 1 year doctor appointment for Jordan today. He is 20 pounds 2 ounces (20th percentile) and 29 inches long. He got his chicken pox and measles and mumps shots, and the doctor was very pleased with all of his developments, physical and behavioral.

The other good news is that we ditched the formula yesterday cold turkey. Not only no problem. But he seems to be enjoying it much much more. We are also weening him off or mostly off the bottle this week, and he is drinking really well out of his sippy cup

All in all, he is doing great, and we are enjoying every minute.
I thought it would be a good time to post a photo from the days of yore, Jordan’s first week. It seems so long ago but also like yesterday. Here he is at 6 days old, and under 5 pounds. How far he has come.

Happy 1st Birthday Jordan

Hard to believe a whole year has gone by. Jordan had such a great time on his birthday and at his birthday party.

Here he is the night of his birthday enjoying his first Chocolate

Here Jordan enjoys one of his new gifts… What a lucky kid!

And here is a selection of photos from his birthday party (in our backyard)

Here are a couple of videos. First eating his birthday cake, then hosing him off in the 90+ degree heat… He love to be sprayed with water!

Jordan graduates from Mommy and Me

It’s amazing that Jordan is already old enough to have graduated from something. On Tuesday he graduated from the Mommy and Me class that he and Tamar started many months ago. Gotta love the cap and gown!

Luckily he doesn’t have to say goodbye. He will for sure still have play dates with some of his new friends like Sylvie and Jaxson!

More Photos from 4th of July vacation

Lisa always captures great moments!! He are just some of the amazing pictures she captured at our cousins’ retreat…

I loved looking though all of the pictures and reliving the vacation all over again!

Cousins at the Beach 2012

We had a GREAT vacation / family reunion in Oxnard. I was too busy enjoying myself to take a lot of pictures, and there will be more once I see Lisa photos, but here are a few worth sharing…

It was another big week for Jordan… He started pointing, his second word was flower, he finally started holding his own bottle and he started taking steps while holding on to the side of a table.

Jordan loving the fireworks (he doesn’t look like he’s enjoying it in this picture, but that’s just because he didn’t like the flash of the camera) He only got upset when the fireworks ended. He wanted more.

Here are a couple of videos from this morning.

He LOVES playing at the water table…

A big week for Jordan

It’s official, Jordan said his first word. Not Daddy, not Mommy, not up or yes, or any other word you might think.

His first word is “picture.” He was practicing it all day yesterday. it sounds like “ik-tur”

Also, Jordan finally got rid of his ear infections, and is OVER 20 POUNDS!!

We had a great night lastnight with the Cashmans, our new great friends. They captured a great video of Jordan and their almost 1-year old Sylvie. You can see the video on youtube if you click on this link:

Here are some photos from the last few days
