Shoshana hosted a delicious Seder and the kids had a blast. We kept them both up until 10:30!
And here’s some pictures of happy Jordan….
The time really is flying by. Eli is 6 months old and really starting to show his cute smiley personality (and chubby cheeks). He’s over 16 pounds, in the 40th percentile. He loves to be kissed and hugged, and he LOVES Jordan.
Tamar is also hosting a Mommy and Me class for second time Moms at our house, with the same teacher who taught her first mommy and me class.
And he also loves being entertained by Jordan.
About three weeks ago we started giving Eli solid foods. He really loves it so far. We started with rice cereal and then butternut squash. Today he’s going to try peas.
Here’s pictures and video of the first day of rice cereal, and then a few additional photos of Eli at the end. Pretty much all he does is smile these days. He’s going to be 6 months old in 3 days!
Loving sitting in the high chair!
Happy boy!
Meeting Tamar’s friends…
The greatest thing about having two boys so close together in age is watching them bond. Eli’s face lights up when Jordan gives him attention (which is all the time), and Jordan asks to see Eli when he first wakes up. There’s no shortage of hugs and kisses for his little brother. Eli has even been able to sort of play with Jordan when Jordan tries to share his cars. Hopefully the love lasts forever.
It’s been a long winter, although a very warm one in LA, but we are looking forward to Spring. Here are some recent photos and videos from the last month or so. The boys are growing up fast. We had our first parent teacher conference at Jordan’s pre-school, and Eli is starting to sleep through the night consistently.
This is actually an older video, from January I think, but it makes me smile
We try to get good pictures of Jordan, but he usually makes this face, which is one of his new fake smiles
Here he is reading one of his favorite books. His language skills have had another explosion lately
Here’s some videos of Eli starting to experiment with his voice. He’s 5 Months old!
We went to the science and space museum to see the space shuttle.
The next weekend, we went to the Natural History museum to see the dinosaurs.
Eli smiles more and more every day. After a rough first 4 months, he’s a VERY happy kid!
Man are his cheeks getting fat
Jordan has been a great brother (when he’s not punching Eli in the face)
Did I mention Jordan’s silly photo smile?
Occasionally, I snag a good one though
He was very into Purim. Apparently he knew the story better than anyone in his class.
At the Purim carnival with his friend Gia
He was brave to do the pony ride because his friend Jorge was crying right next to him about not wanting to get on
And then we went and had a nice dinner out with Jorge and his family
Looking forward to out mini vaca with Nanny and Poppy this weekend at Terranea!
As promised, here’s the backlog of videos going back to early November when Eli was only a few weeks old through January.
Jordan: sweet brother
About 3 weeks old and sleeeeeeepy
Wanna watch Jordan eat his Honey Bunches of Oats?
Jordan rocking out to Hendrix for the first time (yes I know I’m a terrible father for letting him rock out while eating)
Jordan dancing at the super bowl party we took him to at Adam Paul’s
We’ve had so much going on that I haven’t had a chance to post any photos for months. Now that Eli is sleeping in his own room and giving us a chance to sleep a little bit, we are starting to go back to our real lives. So I am posting a ton of pictures here going back to early November, when Eli was only a few weeks old to early February. He is growing and changing so much; already over 14 pounds. He’s got chunky thighs now and chubby cheeks, he smiles all the time and already loves Jordan. They both really love each other. I love watching them together.
Here we go in order. (Oops, I accidentally had the date/time stamp on some of the photos.)
Eli at 3 weeks, still a sleepy newborn…
Meanwhile, Jordan is still completely car and truck obsessed…
Here was one of the first times we ventured out as a family of four into the scary world. The changing leaves on our street made it a beautiful walk:
Here’s Eli at about 5-6 weeks:

Hopefully if he’s not smiling, Jordan is:

Here is Eli at 4 months old. Happy and healthy. We feel so lucky. Hopefully I will do a better job of keeping up with photos now. Ill also post some recent videos soon
